Freeware For Stamp,
Coin, & Other Collectors,
And Asset Management.

Today is your lucky day!!!

inqVista is easy to use freeware that will help you track information that relates to the collection and management of antiques, assets, coins, clients, currency, jewelery, inventory, parts, pictures & images, stamps, and other collectibles.

inqVista has many features, but its most attractive is that it is easy to setup, easy to change, and easy to use. These features are important because your data management requirements may change from time to time and you should not have to start over, installing and learning new software.

Also, many individuals have a need for more than one database. Using inqVista means that you can keep track of business or personal information with the same software. With inqVista after typing a few key strokes you are ready to setup and start another database.

Presented below is inqVista's default Data Entry Form, ready for modification.

As you can see near the top of the Entry Screen, the user has named this database My_Stamps.

You can name yours Phone Book, Clients, Inventory, Employees, Coins, Currency Collection, Student's Grades, or anything else you choose.

Each record has a note field attached, ready for data entry. Add notes to any record as needed then press [F2] or click on [Save Entry].

To open a record, simply click on the [Find/Edit] button or press the [F2] key, then pick the record from the menu.

A click on the [Modify DB] button or pressing the [F10] key while in the Data Entry Form, above, brings out the Modify DB Form shown below.

From the Modify DB Form you can:
  • Add or Delete rows.
  • Change Row Names.
  • Change Data Type.
  • Move Rows.
  • View Sample Forms.
  • Use these features
anytime you have a need to make a change, even after using the database for long periods of time.
Options for adding, changing data type, moving, and saving, row names
                           and other available modifications.

While in the Modify Database Form, above, entering a row name into any entry field and saving the row name by pressing [F2], or clicking on the [Save name changes] button, changes the row name. Also, pressing the [F8] key, or clicking on the [Add a row] button will add a "Master" row.

The Modify Database Form is where you will add, delete, and rename rows to produce a customized database.

Below, three additional Master Rows were added to the two original key rows. The rows were named to show some of the possible row names one might find in a customized Data Entry Form. Also notice that the Data Type, shown to the right of two of the rows, was changed by the user to "Image".

Master Row number 4 was named to show some of the posibilities for the green [Div] button shown in the Data Entry Form, below.

And, also check the Data Type of rows 2 and 3. The Data Type of "Image" is necessary to call a photo from a record.

From the Modify Database Form, above, a click on the [Return] button returns the user to the Data Entry Form shown below.

This is what you might see after returning to the Data Entry Form and after pressing the [Find/Edit] button.

From this Data Entry Form, the user can display a photo of the stamps named in entry fields 2 and 3, with a mouse click.

A click on the [Div] button, located left of entry field 2, will open the image "victoria_0002.gif" and also open an additional window that the user has stored more specific information about this stamp.

A click on the [Div] button on Master Row 2 in the Data Entry Form, above, opens both the picture and Subdivision Entry Form. Both are shown below.

The user divided Master Row 2, Image-Actual, into 3 additional rows by clicking on the [Add a Row] button. The results are shown In this Subdivision Form, below.

You can also choose to subdivide Master Row 4, Purchase Info., shown in the Data Entry Screen above. And, if you did use row 4 instead of row 2, or in addition to row 2, the picture would not appear. Picking row 4, would simply open the form.

For this example, each row in this subdivision was given a name, Purchase Date, Purchase Price, Purchased From, then data was entered and saved.

Each time the [Div] button for this record and row is clicked, both the stamp's picture and subdivision record will appear.

You can have more or less rows for each Subdivision Record, depending on your needs.

From the Division Form, you can return to the Data Entry Form by pressing the [F12} button or clicking on the [Back] button.

Now back at the Data Entry Form, you'll notice that the frame containing the image did not close. This image will stay open until you close it.

From here you can open another image either from this or another record. As an example, an image from the same record was opened.

This time a click on the [Div] button on Master Row 3 calls from row 3, the image named victoria_1002.gif. The image and the Subdivision Form are shown below.

return to modified database entry form.

The second image below is double the size of the image stored in Master Row 2. This was done because the user is sending this database to another collector with inqVista, and this second image shows little more detail.

Now both images are open and the Subdivision Form for Master Row 2 is also open.

You can see that the user has not modified this Division Form for the row named "Image-100%".

This Subdivision Form is the default form that opens when any [Div] button is clicked. You change it or modified it as your needs dictate.

From here you can return to the Data Entry Screen and open another file and image.

Visitors to this site have asked, Why do the entry fields have the word Victoria, before the image name?
The answer is that these images are stored in a folder that the user created named Victoria. inqVista gives you the option to create folders and place images into those folder.
